Sensei Bong is also an active committee member of the SOKK Committee since 1987, working towards making Kyokushin Karate bigger and stronger in Singapore. And to do so, he understands that it is important for instructors to upgrade themselves in order to pass on better and up to date skills and techniques to aspiring members. Therefore Sensei Bong has continually upgrade himself through senior belt trainings conducted by Shihan Peter Chong, International Conventions by Kancho and also overseas camp trainings, like the Mt. Putting in his heart and soul, he planned and conducted the fighter trainings specifically to the needs of the fighters. Each of the 4 fighters was trained differently to suit their fighting style that is most advantageous to them. His hard work paid off when all the fighters did well in the tournament especially Senpai Aaron, who was awarded the Best Spirited Fighter of the tournament and Senpai Boon Kit who came in 7th placing.

His selfless teaching and his training methods has benefited many fighters and members of Kyokushin Karate. Yet he is humble and is still continuously teaching members who are interested and have the determination and will to become one of the best in Kyokushin Karate.
